Osage Beach Vacation

Last week, we went on vacation to Osage Beach in the Lake of the Ozarks. We had a fabulous time. Here are a few highlights from our trip.

Hiking in Ha Ha Tonka State Park

My hubby & the kiddos

Checkin' out the bugs

Two studly hikers

When the trail got steep, Anna decided it was easier to "climb like a doggie." She even barked at people passing by.

This castle's ruins was our destination.

Two little chickies sittin' on a wall
(um, actually a window frame, but wall sounds so much better!)
Aha! A dungeon - just what those little rugrats need!

My hubby and the kiddos again

This is another area of the park where there's a beautiful natural bridge you can explore.

My hubby the goofball!

Card night!

And of course, lots of time in the pool!

A very sweet sibling picture.

My family with my dad after he got out of the hospital.
I'm glad he was working so close to where we were!

Would you like to comment?

really, Lake Ozark? I was just thinking of taking a trip up there in the next two weeks! Where did you stay? How much was it? Everything seems too expensive. Is there a little town close by that might not be quite so much?

Your husband looks really familiar, now that I think of it. Where did he grow up?

Hi Tamara

We have a time share that we can stay anywhere they have locations, so we stayed in a WorldMark resort right on the lake. It was gorgeous. Since it's a timeshare, I have no clue what prices for rooms would be like. Sorry.

I will say I enjoyed the outlet mall in Osage beach, though. Great deals on kids clothes right now!

My hubby was a navy brat. He lived in several different states until he turned 8 years old and his family moved to Lego, KS - which is near Emporia, if you're familiar with that area.

Have a wonderful vacation!

dang it, we have a timeshare but we're using it in November.

I'm sure I know him from somewhere. did he go the Y? (that's kind of a sure-fire way of being connected, LOL)

PS my word verification is 'fartma'. Kind of funny.

He did go to BYU. He lived in Centennial 2, Glenwood?, and another set of apartments, too. He was a business & computer science major and attended from 1997-2001. Does that help? Also, his name is John Ferguson. :)

I spent two years in an apartment complex by Centennial II called Brownstone. From 2000-2001. Maybe I saw him in the building behind me. I'm sure I've seen him. LOL.

That looks like such a fun trip! and I love that sibling picture--super cute. Glad you had a good time.

Tamara - I remember the Brownstone apartments. We had friends who lived there. By then, John & I were married, but we visited there a few times each year. So that could be where you saw us. Did you know Matt Fisher and his group of guys? They all lived in the Brownstone apts.

Josi & Carolyn - Thanks! We really had a great time. I hope your both enjoying your summer as well!

Matt Fisher...yes, I think so...I'd have to see a picture to know for sure, but I think I know who that is!

I loved the little bit about Anna and her doggie walk and bark.

Your kids are gorgeous and I love how your love for each other just shines out of the pictures.

And wow, what a gorgeous place.

We got lots of chuckles and laughs from other hikers, too. It was quite funny. I wish I had taken a video of it!
