Summer Reading Thing 2009

Last summer, I participated in LDS Publisher & LDS Fiction's Summer Reading Trek. It was so much fun . . . and always fun to win more free books! They just announced their new read-a-thon - titled Summer Reading Thing 2009! Here's my current reading list:

  • Princess of the Midnight Ball by Jessica Day George
  • Shadow of the Crow by Jeri Gilchrist
  • Sun and Moon, Ice and Snow by Jessica Day George
  • The Hourglass Door by Lisa Mangum
  • Torn Apart by Diony George

I don't know if I'll get through all of these and I'm certain I'll add others that aren't on the list, but either way, it's going to be one totally awesome summer filled with books and fun in the sun!

You have a great selection. I just finished Princess of the Midnight Ball last night. It was good; I love her books. Previously Engaged is really good too. I have Agent In Old Lace on my list of books to read. I think I'll sign up for the Summer Reading Thing too.

And, I love No Time for Love and her whole series. That book is what got me started on loving LDS fiction.

ohhh...that sounds fun. Where are you getting your books? Are you ordering them? Borrowing? How does a Missouri girl with no access to a LDS book store, otherwise online...get these?

Hi KC Mom -

I'm an LDS writer, freelance editor, and book reviewer. I get free books sent to me all the time. I also go out to Utah every year for the annual LDS Storymakers conference. I tend to stock up on all the other "I need to read this book!" list then. I have a HUGE selection of LDS books and have a little borrowing system going on for those who live in the area. If you're interested in borrowing some books, send me an email and we can set up a time for you to come check out my bookshelves. I have a great selection of both fiction and non-fiction.

Hi. I'm doing the Summer Reading Thing too. I've read several on your list. Just finished The Hourglass Door but haven't posted a review list.
