As I slipped into bed Friday night, my hubby was reading a book on his Blackberry. This usually means he's going to be up for a while. So before I got too comfy, I ran down to my living room and grabbed one of the books I purchased at the LDS Storymakers conference - Previously Engaged by Elodia Strain (which is the sequel to Icing on the Cake). I thought I'd read a few chapters until John was ready to turn off the light for the night.

I thought I'd read a few chapters until John was ready to turn off the light for the night.Twenty minutes later, I was laughing and so into Annabelle, Isaac, and Alex I just couldn't put the book down. I kept reading, barely noticing as it got later and later. I'm normally at all a night person. In fact, I'm usually asleep by 9 pm, but when I closed Previously Engaged and looked over at the clock it was a little past 2 am! And my thought wasn't about sleep . . . I was wondering if my hubby would be generous enough to let me sleep until noon if I re-read the book that night!
I absolutely love a book that weaves humor, romance, and intrigue - and let me just say that Elodia Strain has set a perfect example of it with this fabulous book. I highly recommend it to anyone else who loves books in this genre!
